Digital Painting Mentorship w/Alex Gordillo

Class Starts Tuesday August 20th at 7pm PST. Each class will be about a 2 hours long and will take place on Zoom. This mentorship is targeted towards beginner/intermediate level painters. (Or towards anyone who'd like to learn my approach to digital painting)

What to Expect:

Each week I will guide you through the fundamentals of Painting and assign homework that will help you learn how to Simplify and see like a painter! We will be doing Notan/Matrix Studies, Master Studies, Photo Studies and Film Studies. Towards the final weeks of the Mentorship you will be assigned a Vis Dev Project for which you will create at least one illustration to add to your Portfolio!

During lessons I will be doing a TON of demos. Aside from the first week, I will spend the first half of class (30-45 min) critiquing Homework with Paint-overs. The remainder of the class will include lectures and live Painting from yours truly :). The last 3-4 weeks will consist of less lecture and more critique so I can help you polish your final piece.

This class will consist of only 6 students who receive critique so I can work closely with each of you. All classes will be recorded.

I will be teaching this class using Photoshop but you are welcome to paint with whatever software you feel most comfortable with.
